report a fraud

  1. Inform buySAFE. Complete this form or send an e-mail with details of the fraud to fraud@buysafe.com.
  2. File a Complaint with The IC3. The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C). The IC3 gives the victims of cyber crime a convenient and easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of suspected criminal or civil violations. Click here to file a complaint with IC3.
  3. Notify the Marketplace and Payment Service. If the fraud was committed on a specific marketplace (e.g., eBay.com) and if you paid for the item(s) with a third-party payment service (e.g., Western Union), you should notify these service providers as stated on their Website as soon as possible.
